CEI Innovation Challenge Week engages students to solve business issues
CEI Innovation Challenge Week is a week-long experiential learning opportunity for UNF student teams to provide creative solutions for real-world problems and compete for cash prizes.
The week-long competition challenges teams to build out a business deck for a final pitch competition where winning teams win up to $5,000. The student teams are supported by the sponsoring companies, CEI, UNF faculty, and the Florida Small Business Development Center at UNF.
Three student teams competed in each challenge. The winners were:
Crowley Challenge Winner: Team AP Solution
- Team members: Angel Vila Perez and Ana Paula Melilo
- Project: Automated Partnering (AP) Solution is a digital freight matching platform that automates the trucking brokerage process by analyzing specific customer order requirements and past performance from carriers.
Community First Challenge Winner: This or That Budgeting App
- Team members: Helen Kemp and Izeyic Phifer
- Project: This or That Budgeting App is a free app that helps young adults to budget in a fun, proactive, knowledgeable form, by going beyond reactive financial management, breaking down individual decisions and providing alternate options that impact budgets and spending habits.
