UNF ranked as a Best National University by U.S. News & World Report for fourth consecutive year

The University of North Florida is ranked among the best national universities in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 edition of “Best Colleges” for the fourth consecutive year. UNF is ranked as a top public school, top performer in social mobility and recognized for its undergraduate engineering, business, computer science and nursing programs.

Ranked national universities are recognized as the best in offering a full range of undergraduate majors, in addition to masters and doctoral programs and groundbreaking faculty research. The top-ranked undergraduate programs are chosen based on the high regard and judgments of deans and senior faculty members at peer institutions across the country.

“I am excited to see UNF recognized among the best of the best collegiate institutions in the country,” said UNF President Moez Limayem. “Our faculty and staff work diligently to provide top-tier education and experiences for our students and these recognitions for the University can directly be attributed to their efforts. Together, we will continue to work hard to improve our rankings even further in the future.”

The 2023 Best Colleges list includes rankings for more than 1,400 colleges and universities across the country. The rankings are based on key measures of quality which include academic reputation, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources (including class size, the percentage of faculty with the top academic degree, student-faculty ratio), student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.
