UNF presents 10th annual STEM workshop for middle-school girls

Women in STEMUNF’s College of Computing, Engineering and Construction in partnership with Expanding Your Horizons North Florida will host the 10th annual STEM workshop for girls in grades 5-8 on Saturday, July 30, at UNF’s Adam W. Herbert University Center.

Participants will enjoy a day of discovery with hands-on math, science and engineering activities led by researchers, scientists, engineers and other STEM professionals from the community. Through these important hands-on workshops, girls will learn from community role models that studying math and science can be fun and rewarding.

"Girls" refers to gender-expansive youth (cis, trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, gender queer and any girl-identified youth).

Expanding Your Horizons North Florida (EYHNF), powered by techbridge girls, is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to motivate North Florida youth to become innovative and creative thinkers ready to meet 21st Century challenges.
