OneJax to host “We Can't Get Numb To This!” school violence conversation

OneJax, an institute of the University of North Florida, will host a “We Can't Get Numb To This!” school violence conversation open to the entire community from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 18, at UNF’s Adam W. Herbert University Center.

OneJax will bring together UNF students, faculty/staff and Jacksonville leaders to have an open conversation with community members about violence against children and educators in our schools. The event will challenge participants and offer suggestions to combat becoming numb to school violence.

Featured guests include Elizabeth Anderson, Duval County School Board; Dr. Pamela Chally, UNF Interim President; Nathaniel Rodefer, UNF Student Body President, and the UNF choir featuring director Cara Tasher. OneJax presents this event in partnership with the UNF Office of the President, Interfaith Center, and the Office of Diversity & Inclusion.
