UNF Ranked as a ‘Best National University’ by U.S. News & World Report

The University of North Florida is ranked as a ‘Best National University’ in U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 edition of Best Colleges for the third consecutive year. The list includes rankings of more than 1,400 colleges and universities across the country.

In addition, UNF was ranked in six other top lists by U.S. News & World Report with the University’s undergraduate business, computer science, engineering and nursing programs being ranked among the best in the country, as well as UNF being named a ‘Top Public School,’ and ‘Top Performer in Social Mobility.’

“We are honored to be recognized for the third straight year as a leading national university in addition to having many of our undergraduate programs highly ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s top lists,” said UNF President David Szymanski. “These recognitions are the direct result of the tireless work and dedication from the University’s faculty and staff and our gifted and hard-working students.”

The U.S. News rankings are based on key measures of quality which include academic reputation, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources (including class size, the percentage of faculty with the top academic degree, student-faculty ratio), student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

Ranked national universities are recognized as the best in offering a full range of undergraduate majors, in addition to masters and doctoral programs, and are committed to producing groundbreaking faculty research. The top-ranked undergraduate programs were chosen based upon the high regard and judgements of deans and senior faculty members at peer institutions across the country.
