Mednexus Innovation Challenge will present student scholarship prizes

Students who are considering a healthcare or technology career path should register their teams for a chance to receive scholarship prize money at the Mednexus Innovation Challenge on Thursday, Nov. 4.

The Mednexus Innovation Challenge is a team-based entrepreneurship competition that will showcase top regional high school students tasked to pitch their solutions to three of Florida’s healthcare needs: advancing telemedicine, improving mental health services for young adults, and enhancing soft skills in healthcare.

The students will receive mentoring by top university faculty, and opportunities to provide innovative solutions to real healthcare needs within Florida’s First Coast.

Five teams will be chosen to present on November 4 with the guidance of UNF Brooks College of Health faculty and other professionals. Scholarship money in the form of cash prizes for each winning team member include:

  • First place winner: $1,500
  • Second place winner: $1,250
  • Third place winner: $750

Applications are open now until Sunday, Sept. 26. More information can be found via the website.
