UNF named #7 Most Affordable LGBTQ-Friendly Institution in the U.S. for 2021
The University of North Florida has been named the No. 7 Most Affordable LGBTQ-friendly institution in the U.S. in a new ranking published by Student Loan Hero.
For Pride Month, Student Loan Hero researchers gathered information from colleges and universities across the country with a four-star rating or higher in the Campus Pride Index and ranked the schools based on affordability. UNF is number one in the state of Florida with 4.5 stars on the Index.
Student Loan Hero utilized the Campus Pride Index and analyzed the latest tuition and fee data from the NCES Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System to determine the most affordable LGBTQ-friendliest schools in the nation.
Nonprofit group Campus Pride developed the Campus Pride Index to examine LGBTQ acceptance on college campuses based on policies, administrative support, campus community involvement and other factors. Schools are rated on a scale from one to five stars.
