“OneJax has been doing important work for many years in our community—but perhaps never as important as during this past challenging year,” said Michael Korn, OneJax board chair. “This year’s honorees reflect our efforts to emphasize civility in conversations, even when difficult subjects are discussed, and embody the characteristics of understanding and respect for all through education, dialogue and community building. Their impact has been felt and realized throughout our community and beyond.”

The Humanitarian Awards event is free, but reservations are required; register online via the website. Sponsorships for the Humanitarian Awards event are available and may be obtained online, by contacting OneJax at (904) 620-1529 or emailing onejax@unf.edu.

Since 2012, OneJax has been an institute at UNF.  For 50 years, through education, community building and advocacy, OneJax has worked to make Northeast Florida a better place for everyone by celebrating differences and identifying all we have in common.
