Athletics Produces Banner Classroom Performance

In a semester that included quarantines and many online classes, the North Florida Athletic Department achieved another highly impressive performance in the classroom posting a cumulative department GPA of 3.44.

With the solid scholastic effort, North Florida extends its impressive streak of cumulative department GPAs of 3.0 or higher to 19 consecutive semesters.  Key to this academic success is the dedication and hard work of the Student Athlete Center for Excellence staff combined with commitment and focus of the student athletes and coaching staffs. UNF student-athletes have now completed nine and a half academic years in a row with a department GPA above 3.0.

All 19 of the department's varsity programs have now recorded cumulative team GPA's of 3.0 or higher in eight of the last nine semesters. The women's tennis squad led all program's with a 3.71 GPA while men's tennis paced the male program's with GPA of 3.50. The women's teams at UNF netted a 3.57 GPA and the men's squads produced a 3.25 GPA.

Additionally, 40 student athletes attained perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall semester while 233 student-athletes recorded GPAs of 3.0 or higher.

The 2020 Fall GPA ranks as the second highest mark in department department history.
