UNF’s program earned a top 40 spot in the Most Affordable Early Childhood Education Programs ranking recently released by Discover Early Childhood EDU and is recognized for offering both a high-quality and inexpensive education program.

“We have worked tirelessly to update UNF’s early childhood education program curriculum to serve the current needs of our students, said Dr. Christian Winterbottom, early childhood education graduate program director. “In the last five years, we created both undergraduate and graduate online degree programs as well as integrated community-based learning into our courses to enable our students to collaborate and work with the local community to have real-world impacts.”

UNF’s Early Childhood Education Program provides in-depth, research-based knowledge on key areas for early childhood professionals working with children from birth through age eight. The program prepares future educators to offer well-rounded educational experiences in their classrooms and teaches them how to respond creatively to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.

Additionally, the College of Education and Human Services Professional Development School network offers UNF students a unique opportunity for intensive clinical practice experiences in a variety of school settings, including public, private and charter schools. These on-site methods courses provide opportunities for UNF students to learn and grow professionally while co-teaching alongside experienced educators as well as work directly with elementary and middle school students through reading and math tutoring with a focus on impacting student learning.
