UNF hosts artistic expression event to support first generation students
UNF Undergraduate Studies and Dr. Laura Boilini, Educational Leadership Graduate Program director and College of Education and Human Services assistant professor, recently hosted a “Destress through Art” painting and discussion experience for first-generation students. Students were invited to discuss the pandemic-induced challenges of online classes or zoom fatigue as well as the unique challenges they face being first-generation students. The students were then encouraged to express those feelings through art and guided by Boilini to try new techniques and mediums.
