UNF Nutrition Services hosts virtual Healthy Ospreys Teaching Kitchen with President and First Lady Szymanski

UNF wellness dietitian Chelsea Chandler preparing food at the Healthy Osprey Teaching KitchenNutrition Services hosted a Healthy Ospreys Teaching Kitchen (H.O.T. Kitchen) virtual cooking demonstration with President and First Lady Szymanski to encourage the Osprey community to adopt healthy cooking and eating habits. The cooking demonstration hosted by UNF wellness dietician Chelsea Chandler focused on using budget friendly ingredients to create tuna and sweet potato cakes.

The H.O.T. Kitchen, normally located in the Student Wellness Complex for hands-on demonstrations, is now offering basic cooking techniques and nutrition education virtually for the Osprey community to enjoy. Throughout the fall semester, UNF wellness dietitians will host cooking demonstrations with healthy and easy to follow recipes.

For a complete list of ingredients and to view the full H.O.T. Kitchen demonstration, visit the Nutrition Services Facebook page.

Nutrition Services is also offering remote phone or video call appointments available to current UNF students, faculty or staff interested in learning more about nutrition education and personalized nutrition counseling. Wellness dietitians will provide the tools needed to confidently make good food choices and can help create achievable, realistic wellness goals with consideration for lifestyle, preferences and schedule.
