Delegations of Authority

Delegations of Authority are intended to supplement the authority granted to the University of North Florida Board of Trustees and the University President in Chapter 1001, Part IV, Florida Statutes (2007), resolutions and regulations of the Florida Board of Governors, the Resolution on Presidential Authority adopted by the University of North Florida Board of Trustees on June 13, 2024 and UNF regulations, policies and procedures.

The Delegations of Authority contained herein are valid for the period or purpose specified in the delegation or until revoked by the delegator in writing. Most delegations cannot be further delegated and are subject to other limitations. Please carefully review the text of any delegation before acting.

Although addressed to individuals, the Delegations are intended to delegate the specific authority described to the office and title of the recipient delegee.

In the case of the President's prolonged absence from the office, the Temporary Leadership in the Event of the President's Absence delegation allows for the Provost and Vice President of Academic and Students Affairs to assume all of the authority and responsibility of the President until the Board of Trustees takes further action.
