Internships: Connect Philosophy or Religious Studies with Practice

An internship is more than a resume builder — it’s a step toward purpose. Whether your path leads to law, education, ethics or public service, UNF helps you explore how philosophy or religious studies translates into meaningful work.

Start by asking yourself:

  • What do you enjoy doing?
  • What skills do you bring?
  • How can your work serve others?

How to Get Started

Student Reflections

UNF students share how experiential learning shaped their academic journeys and personal growth.

Ethics Academy Internships

Interns—from sophomores to seniors—represented majors in philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, political science, environmental studies and graphic design.

“Seeing how much fun the students had during the ethics bowl and how much they grew really touched my heart. The camp created space for meaningful conversations and learning.”

— Kyle Power, 2024 and 2025 Ethics Academy Intern

“Learning about intellectual safety and gentle Socratic inquiry gave me new perspective. Creating an environment for curiosity rather than right answers is powerful.”

— Madison Mendiola, 2023 and 2025 Intern

“This experience strengthened how I approach moral questions and showed me the importance of considering multiple perspectives.”

— Nathanael Coronado, 2023 Intern

“I learned how to interact with students in ways that encourage independent thinking and respect for diverse ideas.”

— Isabel Hiday, 2023 Intern
