Cascade Permissions
In order to be granted access to CMS, editors must be active faculty and staff. Student employees are permitted.
Editors will be required to attend a basic training and a web accessibility course.
Limitations:
- A valid UNF N number is necessary.
- Must be active employee status as processed by Human Resources. Cannot be a "consultant" employee.
- Requester must verify with their director or a current CMS editor that the request is needed before submitting an email to the web team.
- We recommend departments limit the number of editors who have access to a site, although there is no technical limit.
Confirming who has access:
- Permissions are maintained in active directory. Only ITS has access to this system.
- The web team can provide departments with a list of their editors.
- Departments are responsible for informing webmaster@unf.edu when an editor no longer needs access to their site.
- Marketing and Communications reserves the right to remove editors who are inactive for more than 6 months. Editors can request to have access restored.
If an editor leaves UNF and are terminated by Human Resources, their permissions will automatically be disabled.
