University System of Florida Johnson Scholarship

• Be a Florida resident for tuition purposes.
• Be seeking a first baccalaureate degree.
• Complete a Theodore R. and Vivian M. Johnson Scholarship Application.
• Meet academic requirements.
• Provide documentation of the nature and/or extent of a disability or disabilities.
• Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. (FAFSA)/institutional need.  Submit a FAFSA or renewal FAFSA form by the required deadline at the FAFSA website.  Confirm that the Federal School Code for your university is designated so that the university has access to your results in assessing a student’s unmet financial need.

If selected, recipients must:

• Complete and return an acceptance form or contact the appropriate institution representative (listed at the end of the application) by the date specified in your notification letter. Failure to return the acceptance form by the specified date will result in forfeiture of the award.
• Participate in a Johnson Scholarship orientation (first-time applicants only).
• Complete a minimum of nine (9) credit hours each semester or 18 credit hours over fall, spring, and summer semesters. 
• Adhere to the minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average requirement of this program.
• Continue to have unmet financial/institutional need.
  
  

SAC–Student Government Scholarship

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum UNF cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Must be registered with the Student Accessibility Center.
• Must submit a typed resume.
• Must provide an essay describing how your educational experience at UNF has prepared you for life after college. 
• Must be an enrolled UNF student with a minimum of 6 credit hours each term, Fall 2026 and Spring 2027, at UNF.
• Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
• Must be in good standing with the University.
• Must submit application and other required documents by the deadline. 
• All scholarships based on credit hours are based on Fall 2026 undergraduate instate tuition and fees (with differential fees).
• All applicant essays must adhere to the following format: 1 - 2 pages, double-spaced, 12-point font Times New Roman, 1 inch margins.

Crossing the Finish Line Scholarship

The Crossing the Finish Line Scholarship is available through CareerSource NEFL for students in the UNF Student Accessibility Center (SAC) who are entering their final semester. This scholarship is designed to help cover final costs like tuition, certification/exam fees, and graduation expenses up to $5,000 based on need and fund availability.

Eligibility requirements:

• be enrolled UNF's SAC program at the start of your final semester
• have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• plan to work in Northeast Florida
• willingly submit a short personal narrative and required documentation
• be registered in employflorida.com

Awards are based on funding availability and rubric scoring of applications, so a strong, complete submission matters. Students must submit applications no later than September 7, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Linda Carter Slade Scholarship

ScholarshipUniverse
