UNF’s CAMP Osprey training next generation of student leaders

The University of North Florida’s 2022-23 Collegiate Achievement Mentoring Program (CAMP) Osprey program served 109 student leaders this year.

Students begun the program cultivating leadership skills by going out into the community and learning from local industry leaders in business, healthcare, IT, sport management, education, hospitality, dentistry, non-profits and law. Students then took what they learned from industry leaders and applied it into workshops and mentoring sessions for over 100 local K-12 students in Duval, Putnam and Clay counties and at organizations like the Ronald McDonald House.

CAMP Osprey is an innovative leadership mentoring program that provides unique learning experience for students to learn from local leaders and then mentor younger generations. UNF CAMP Osprey student mentors guide younger students to become leaders, serve their peers, and have a meaningful impact on their families and communities.

Throughout the 2022-23 academic year, CAMP Osprey received generous grants from numerous community partners and organizations including the Cummer Foundation, Florida Blue, Deerwood Rotary, Synovus, and the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida.
