UNF professor speaks about sustainability at World Humanitarian Forum
Dr. Nathan Kunz, associate professor of operations management at the University of North Florida, took part in this year’s annual World Humanitarian Forum (WHF) as one of seven distinguished speakers at a roundtable panel on November 11.
He was joined by Andrea Debbane, Global Director of Sustainability, Kuehne Nagel; Mathieu Grenade, Global Green Supply Chain Manager and West Africa Supply Chain Coordinator, Danish Red Cross; Saurabh Agarwal, Partner, ERM; Paul Jansen, CEO, Fleet Forum; Virva Tuomala, Post-Doctoral Researcher, HUMLOG, WREC project; and Jean Cedric Meeus, Chief Global Transport Supply Division, UNICEF.
Kunz contributed his expertise to a 60-minute discussion focused on how localization is connected to sustainability, the importance of economic, social and environmental dimensions of supply chain management, and global impacts to supply chain operations.
The WHF is the largest and most inclusive nonpartisan forum in humanitarian aid and international development. The WHF brings together decision-makers and opinion-formers in the public, private and non- profit sectors, as well as the next generation of partnership-builders. The annual WHF advances critical global discussions and transforms conversations into action, as well as providing a powerful forum to catalyze collaboration through shared-value approaches and social impact objectives.
