UNF meets with business leaders to develop logistics & supply chain management employee skills

Coggin College meeting with business leadersThe University of North Florida's Coggin Graduate & Executive Programs recently hosted a breakfast for leading local Jacksonville companies to discuss the high demand for skilled employees in the fields of logistics and supply chain management and to outline how the UNF Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (MSLSCM) degree program can provide students with the training to fill those skill gaps.

Among the speakers were Dr. Dawn Russell, MSLSCM program director; Dr. David Swanson, Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics interim director; and Dr. Lakshmi Goel, Coggin College of Business associate dean.

Companies represented included Suddath, Crowley, Maersk, AV Logistics, Tote Maritime, Geodis, Beaver Street Fisheries, and Cushman & Wakefield.

The field of logistics and supply chain management entails strong training and talent to keep pace with rapidly advancing technology and business practices. UNF is rising to meet these local industry demands to train the leaders of the future, rich in industry knowledge, business acumen and soft skills.
