UNF honored with Platinum Level ‘Healthiest Company Award’ for 14th consecutive year
For the 14th consecutive year, the University of North Florida has received the Platinum Level Award, the highest designation, in the 2022 Healthiest Companies Awards by the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council.
Under the direction of UNF’s Department of Recreation and Wellness, the Healthy Osprey has a mission to promote the health and well-being of the UNF community that diverse programs and services that foster physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual development that leads to achieving holistic health.
Some of the Healthy Osprey initiatives include Healthy Campus Week; RISE Above resilience program and 24/7 online toolkit; wellness guides in the areas of environmental healthy, mental health, sexual health, social health and spiritual health; wellness advocacy and involvement with the nationwide Partnership for a Healthier America.
As a Platinum Award winner, UNF is recognized for its outstanding commitment to a healthy environment and its noteworthy strides to improve the health and wellbeing of its campus community. The Platinum Level award is based on program offerings, services and performance in the following categories: health behaviors, safety, physical activity, nutrition/weight management, mental health, organizational policies and prevention.
The First Coast Worksite Wellness Council, Inc. is a community leader in supporting workplace health and wellness programs.
