UNF LGBT Resource Center and the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville partner for ARTSee & Shop Gallery
The UNF LGBT Resource Center and the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville have partnered with event sponsor, the Markets at Town Center, for another year of the holiday ARTSee & Shop Gallery, a pop-up art and cultural engagement gallery for local artists and performers. Last year’s pop-up gallery was a great success with 40 artists participating and over $16,000 raised for local artists.
This year, the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville will be sharing the gallery with UNF’s LGBT Resource Center as part of the event sponsor’s diversity and inclusion initiative. More than 65 local artists will be showcasing their work.
The grand opening of the gallery will be held on Saturday, November 14, from 4 – 7 p.m. and will feature live music and a mural creation by Heartspace Art.
Weekly gallery hours from November 6 through December 20 are as follows:
- Sunday: noon – 6 p.m.
- Tuesday: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Wednesday – Saturday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
To work within the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire gallery of work will be displayed online. For those who prefer to visit the gallery in person, strict social distancing and sanitization protocols will be enforced. The gallery is located across the parking lot from Cooper's Hawk Winery at the Markets at Town Center.
