UNF Filming Requests

Thank you for your interest in filming on our uniquely beautiful campus! There are many wonderful locations and filming sites throughout our campus.

All approval decisions for any photographing/filming requests are rendered by UNF Marketing and Communications and the Office of Environmental Health and Safety.

Before completing the submission request form below, please note that there are specific requirements for any person or firm requesting permission to photograph or film on the University of North Florida Campus.

Specific requirements: The requester must furnish to the UNF Department of Marketing and Communications the following (these documents will be emailed to the requester to complete upon receipt of the filming request):

  • Original letter signed by Requester on Requester’s letterhead with all blanks on letter completed; and
  • Acknowledgment, Indemnity, Waiver and Release of Liability signed by each person engaged by Requester or its contractors, agents, representatives and employees to enter the Filming Venue; and
  • Evidence of general liability insurance (ACORD certificate) identifying The University of North Florida Board of Trustees as an additional insured in coverage amounts determined on a case-by-case basis by UNF’s Office of Risk Management. If the requestor does not possess general liability insurance, the request may still be granted as determined on a case-by-case basis.

Items Required Depending on Situation:

  • If there will be any minors (persons under the age of 18), they must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on campus.
  • If you would like to request to fly a drone, you must have proof of aviation insurance and a done pilot license for the drone operator. If meeting those requirements, you must contact UNF’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety to compete this request at EHS@unf.edu.

Failure to supply any of the items above in approved format within 10 business days prior to the anticipated date of filming may result in a delay in the approval decision.
