SAIL into Kindergarten
This Florida Institute of Education Initiative was made possible through the Crawford Early Childhood Research and Education Distinguished Professor Fund. SAIL into Kindergarten is designed to bolster rising kindergartners’ fundamental subject knowledge by engaging children in emergent literacy and STEM learning activities. The curriculum is aligned to the Florida Kindergarten Standards.
SAIL into Kindergarten is a 7-week summer program implemented in 4 classrooms. The key curriculum components include:
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Action-Based Learning
- Robotics & Programming
- Makerspace
- Learning Excursions
