Rev your engines, Duval! The Duval Kart Clash is a countywide Mario Kart 8™ tournament just for high school students, hosted at the UNF Flight Deck Esports Arena. Students from across Duval County are invited to compete, battling it out for the championship title. Only one winner will take the crown, do you have what it takes to cross the finish line first?

About Duval Kart Clash

The tournament will take place on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM.
Hosted at the Flight Deck Esports Arena in the John A. Delaney Student Union
Player check-in begins at 2:00 PM in the Plaza in front of the Student Union.
There is no cost to enter. However, food and drink will not be provided and may be purchased in the Boathouse restaurant.
The winner will receive an exclusive Kart Clash trophy.
Entrants under the age of 18 must have permission to participate from a legal guardian.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should I park?

Parking is available for free in the Arena Garage (Lot 38) adjacent to the John A. Delaney Student Union. Accessible parking is located on the first floor. Parking will not be available in the loop in front of the building.
Can I leave and come back later?

Yes, re-entry is permitted with a valid ticket. You will be required to go through security upon re-entry.
Is seating assigned or general admission?

Seating is general admission in the Esports arena. In the event there is no available seating, additional spectator locations can be found on the second floor Boathouse restaurant.
Are costumes or cosplay allowed?

Adults and players are not permitted to wear costumes or cosplay.
Can I take photos or record video?

Absolutely no flash photography is permitted in the venue's indoor spaces. Non-flash photography and videography are encouraged so long as it does not become disruptive to the event or players.
What concessions and food will be available?

Food and drink will be available for purchase in the Boathouse restaurant.
What other activities can I participate in during the event?
The tournament itself will be the most exciting part of the event, but it will run for quite a while. If you need a break from the action, here are some other activities we will have on the day.
