Procedures for donating assets to non- profits

The organization must be non- profit. All donation requests must receive prior approval from the property office. The following documentation is required by the property office prior to the donation:
  1. A letter of intent. This document must be on the organizations letter head. This document should mention the intent the organization has for these assets.
  2. A current copy of the organizations 501C3. This document will confirm the organization is non- profit.

All assets are donated “as is”.

Once the property office receives these documents, the department will be contacted to proceed with the donation.
