Department of History at UNF

Understand the past. Shape what comes next.

The University of North Florida Department of History helps students understand the world by exploring how people, ideas and events shape societies over time. Through courses in U.S., European and non-Western history, students gain in demand skills in critical thinking, research, analysis and effective communication. Guided by expert faculty and supported by hands on learning, internships and research opportunities, history majors and minors at UNF prepare for meaningful careers and advanced study while developing a global perspective rooted in context, curiosity and purpose.
