Stalking and Intimate Partner Violence

Whether you are in a long term relationship, casually dating, or have only interacted with someone briefly, stalking and intimate partner violence are prohibited at UNF.

Title IX protects individuals from all forms of sex based discrimination, including stalking and intimate partner violence. If you or someone you know is experiencing any of the warning signs below, it may be a sign of stalking or intimate partner violence.

Warning signs of potentially abusive partners: controlling behavior, ingnores personal boundaries, jealousy, violent temper, unpredictability, history of abusive behavior in past relationships, possessiveness, frequent mood swings, keen to move fast in the relationship, cruelty towards animals, behaves differently with you behind closed doors, blaming a partner for things, verbal, emotional or physical abuse, doesn't listen when you say "no", lacks empathy, insensitive to suffering of others, self-centered, forces sexual activity, shows a lack of respect, monitors your whereabouts
