Wall Street Journal ranks UNF among Best Colleges in the U.S. to set graduates up for financial success
The Wall Street Journal has ranked the University of North Florida among “The 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S.”
The University earned the No. 3 spot out of 15 public and private colleges and universities in Florida. WSJ ranked 500 colleges total.
The ranking measures how well each college sets graduates up for financial success. The WSJ said it looked at how much a school improves students’ chances of graduating and their future earnings, balancing these outcomes with feedback from students on college life. It doesn’t measure reputation, nor the college’s own finances.
“UNF has among the lowest tuition rates in the country and is part of a State University System that strives to keep costs affordable and relieve the burden of debt for our students,” said UNF President Moez Limayem. “The University’s first strategic priority is to ensure student success from enrollment to employment and beyond.”
The WSJ story said the rankings seek “to reward institutions that showcase demonstrable positive outcomes for their students and alumni.”
At UNF, students are given experiential learning opportunities, including research, study abroad and internships. In addition, UNF works with companies in the thriving Jacksonville area to ensure students are prepared with the most in-demand skills and education needed to succeed.
