Alicia Erchul honored as NACUBO Emerging Leader for commitment to higher education
Alicia Erchul, University of North Florida research integrity coordinator and alum, has been selected to join the prestigious National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) Emerging Leaders Program 2023-24 cohort. The program is an exclusive professional development experience for promising mid-level managers in higher education business and finance.
“The NACUBO Emerging Leaders Program is more than an honor, it is an opportunity to engage with the brightest minds in higher education business and finance from across the country,” said Erchul. “As an Emerging Leader, I am eager to collaborate with colleagues representing institutions of diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Together, we will explore innovative approaches, refine our leadership skills and gain invaluable insights that will benefit UNF and the entire higher education community.”
Erchul’s unwavering commitment to promoting research integrity and upholding high ethical standards has made an invaluable contribution to UNF. Over her 14-year tenure at the University, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a passion for enhancing student success and elevating key metrics crucial to the University's growth.
As research integrity coordinator, she oversees critical areas and ensures the highest standards of compliance with regulations and ethical standards. Erchul’s ability to streamline processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness as well as inspire a culture of data-informed decision-making has been instrumental in achieving institutional priorities and fostering meaningful collaborations. Her exemplary performance earned her the UNF Presidential SPOT Award in 2023.
“I am truly honored to embark on this journey and represent the University in this exclusive program,” Erchul said. “My aim is not only to learn and grow personally but also to bring back insights, best practices and a strengthened network that will elevate UNF’s leadership in higher education.”
NACUBO is a nonprofit professional organization representing chief administrative and financial officers at more than 1,700 colleges and universities across the country. The Emerging Leaders Program, now in its third year, reflects NACUBO’s organizational priority to strengthen and diversify the chief business officer pipeline.
