Distinguished Voices Lecture Series featuring Walter Isaacson

William Isaacson HeadshotThe University of North Florida and the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville will host bestselling author Walter Isaacson, who will discuss his new biography “Elon Musk” at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, at UNF’s Fine Arts Center.  

Isaacson is a professor of history at Tulane who has authored several books, including biographies of Jennifer Doudna, Leonardo da Vinci, Steve Jobs, Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein. He has been the editor of Time Magazine, the CEO and chairman of CNN and the CEO of the Aspen Institute.  

He is an advisory partner at Perella Weinberg, a financial services firm based in New York City, a cohost of the PBS show Amanpour & Co., a contributor to CNBC and host of the podcast “Trailblazers, from Dell Technologies.”  

Isaacson has received numerous accolades, including the National Humanities Award in 2023. He serves on several boards, including those of United Airlines and Bloomberg Philanthropies. 

All Distinguished Voices lectures are free and open to the public, supported by the UNF Foundation and co-hosted by the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville’s Global Issues Evenings.
