Excitement building at UNF for Jacksonville Jaguars home opener
College students don’t wake up early often, but hundreds of students were lined up with anticipated excitement to catch the release of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ season ticket sales at UNF on the first day of the semester. Each year, Student Government partners with the Jaguars to provide tickets to UNF students at a low discounted price.
Within the first hour, 531 season tickets were sold, which is almost 40% more tickets than last year and the highest sales since the 2018-19 season. After the season tickets sold out, Jaguars representatives surprised the students in the crowd by offering additional tickets to make sure no one was left outside TIAA Bank Field.
An impressive 894 discounted tickets in total were sold on campus while students enjoyed music and mingling with Jaguars reps and cheerleaders.
"It is always so much fun to see UNF students come together,” said Johnny Grosso, Student Government president. “Student Government is grateful to the Jacksonville Jaguars for giving UNF students the opportunity to enjoy the home games at fantastic prices.”
UNF students can experience the games in the official, exclusive UNF student section at EverBank Stadium, watch for UNF military student bell ringers before the games and stop by the UNF community engagement booth.
The UNF Alumni Association will also host a Roar and Soar tailgating event prior to the game on Sunday, Oct. 15. Tailgate and game ticket packages and tailgate-only tickets are available for purchase until Thursday, Oct. 12.
