School of Nursing hosts Nursing Impact Conference

The University of North Florida School of Nursing presents the inaugural Nursing Impact Conference from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the UNF MedNexus at FSCJ Deerwood Center, in the first floor Conference Center. Through this engaging forum, attendees will learn from the professional journeys of talented clinical nursing experts in leadership, practice, and education. The conference will explore the significant impact that nurses have on today's healthcare system and best practices to address trends and meet future demands.

Featured speakers include a keynote from DNP, RN, FACHE and Division Chief Nursing Executive at HCA South Atlantic Division Dr. Nina Evans, a panel featuring BCH young nursing alumni, and a panel featuring Diane Raines, Class of 13’ Healthcare Consultant, former Sr. Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Baptist Health; Deb Harrison, Class of 12’ Executive Coach and former Chief Nursing Officer Mayo Clinic; Barbara Fletcher, retired after a 45-year nursing career and former UNF associate nursing professor; and Tera Gross, D.N.P., R.N., NEA-BC, Mayo Clinic Florida Chief Nursing Officer and BCH Dean’s Council member. The event will also feature a UNF Student Career Fair and Simulation Center Open House & Reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
