UNF honors Veterans Day
In honor and appreciation of all our Osprey veterans, the UNF Military and Veterans Resource Center will host a series of events during the week of Veterans Day. Events are as follows:
Monday, Nov. 8:
- Veterans Day Awareness Display: Beginning at 9 a.m. on the Green, 1,400 American flags will be displayed to represent the military-affiliated student population at UNF.
Tuesday, Nov. 9:
- Veterans Day Tribute: Breakfast begins at 9:30 a.m. in Osprey Plaza and the ceremony will being at 10:30 a.m. in Veterans Plaza to honor all who have or are currently serving our country.
Wednesday, Nov. 10:
- "Dough-Not" Forget to Recognize a Veteran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Osprey Plaza during Market Day
- Celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the MVRC, Founders Hall, Building 2, Room 1100
Thursday, Nov. 11:
- UNF Closed in Observance of Veterans Day
Friday, Nov. 12:
- Vets Wear R.E.D.: Remember all those currently deployed by wearing red; veterans and other military-affiliated Ospreys can pick up a free R.E.D. shirt from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the MVRC, Founders Hall, Building 2, Room 1100
