UNF LGBT Center accepting Rainbow AwardThe University of North Florida’s LGBTQ Center has won a Rainbow Award for Best Equality Organization in Jacksonville. Sarah Locke, representing UNF, also won for Best LGBTQ Clergy.

The Rainbow Awards JAX are designed to recognize different LGBTQ organizations and individuals on a yearly basis, to help bring awareness to social issues within the Jacksonville community, by hosting events, one-on-one conversations, joint ventures with other non-profits, and being a voice for those that cannot speak themselves through advocacy.

UNF’s LGBTQ Center is continually recognized for its efforts and commitment to advocacy, equality, community, and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and allied students, faculty, staff, the Jacksonville community, and surrounding areas.
