UNF art galleries host new exhibitions
The UNF Gallery of Art and the Lufrano Intercultural Gallery will host two exhibitions featuring work from faculty and alumni beginning February 1st. The exhibitions feature a variety of media including printmaking, sculpture, mural, video, photography and more.

Featuring the work of contemporary printmakers and highlighting the multitude of possibilities that printmaking holds as a medium, this exhibition presents printmaking in a fresh and indisputably current way. The works featured demonstrate how contemporary artists are breaking away from the traditional techniques associated with the art form to produce unique works through unconventional methods, materials and display. This exhibition was curated by Sheila Goloborotko, UNF printmaking professor, and was previously shown at the Hunterdon Art Museum in Clinton, New Jersey, and in the Kwan Fong Gallery of Art and Culture and William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California.*

Photo participation: February 1 through 12, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This inclusive, participatory project exhibition examines the relationship between personal narrative and collective memory-making. This project will document participants' feelings, thoughts, and musings during these unprecedented times. Participants will be photographed at the Lufrano Gallery from February 1 through 12 by Kat Tarbet, UNF Fine Arts alumna, in front of a colorful background. Portraits will be printed onsite in the gallery, and participants can use makers to write something on their mask that they cannot "say," encouraging new, visual forms of relating difficult realities, identification, histories, opinions, thoughts, and feelings. Participation is open to all students, faculty and staff.
UNF art galleries, including the UNF Gallery of Art, Lufrano Intercultural Gallery, and UNF Gallery of Art at MOCA Jacksonville, are vital sites for arts education and an invitation for important dialogue in society and culture.
