UNF Biomedical Sciences program to host monthly "Research in Progress" virtual seminars
UNF’s Biomedical Sciences program in the Biology department 
in the College of Arts & Sciences is hosting monthly "Research in Progress" virtual seminars throughout the fall semester to help bring biomedical sciences research-oriented faculty and students together to learn about current, state-of-the-art research.
The monthly seminar series will focus on ongoing research across UNF and the Mayo Clinic laboratories, and aim to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations, publications and grant applications. Starting in September, the Biomedical Sciences program will host a virtual seminar the second Friday of each month from noon to 1 p.m.

The Biomedical Sciences program is a new cross-disciplinary initiative within UNF. Partnerships with hospitals, research institutes, biotech industry and other universities are projected, and the research conducted by faculty in the program contributes to fields such as biotechnology, bioinformatics, drug discovery, genomics and healthcare. Major research themes revolve around aging and neuroscience, biocomputing and healthcare, biomedicine and drug discovery.
