Message from Provost Rhodes in support of international students
The following message was shared on Friday, July 10, by Provost and Vice President Academic Affairs Simon Rhodes to international students in regard to recent federal immigration guidelines.
On Monday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued new guidance that could have a major impact on international students for the fall semester. Under the new regulations, international students will have an in-person class requirement. UNF plans to resume classes for the fall semester under a hybrid model of instruction while ensuring that our Osprey community is provided with a healthy environment for teaching and learning both online and in the classroom.
The International Center is working closely with our international Ospreys and various academic partners to prevent a disruption in their program of study, meet the new regulations requirements, and ensure that our international Ospreys feel safe and supported.
Our international students are an integral part of our global Osprey community, and we value all their enriched academic and cultural contributions that truly make us Uniquely UNF.
