Component 3: PREP to Excel

Designed for early career teachers (years 1-3) interested in continuing to develop their knowledge, skills and strategies to maximize classroom impact.

As a member of the inaugural PREP Early Career Professional Learning cohort you will:

  • Experience continued connections with your UNF Osprey Family
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning aimed at supporting you in the classroom
  • Develop community with other early career colleagues across Clay County District Schools
  • Engage in learning designed to support planning, instructional decision making, and responsive teaching for all learners
  • Gain new classroom strategies and skills through job-embedded coaching, mentoring and professional learning alongside a dedicated PREP coach

Benefits

  • Ongoing job-embedded support beginning in year one of teaching
  • The opportunity to participate in four UNF M.Ed courses while earning a graduate certificate focused on Instructional Design and Decision Making
  • $1500 per semester and additional financial support
  • $2500 upon successful completion of the PREP Early Career Professional Learning coursework

Eligibility:

  • Preference given to teachers at UNF PDS and Partnership schools
  • Admission to the graduate school at UNF
  • Professional teaching license from the State of Florida
  • Successful completion of first 90 days and administrator approval
