CCEC Programs for Elementary Schools
Jr. FLL - the pre-cursor to FIRST LEGO League. This program is an introductory program that Introduces students (K-3rd grade) to FIRST robotics programs.
Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day. The School of Engineering hosts a STEM workshop for young girls (3rd -5th grade) in support of National Engineers Week. Introduce a Girl to Engineer's Day is a movement that shows girls how engineering is creative and collaborative and how engineers are changing our world. The girls participate in workshops, labs, and hands-on activities. The girls also learn about different engineering career fields and meet professional women who are in those roles. The event is sponsored by the student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
Field trips are scheduled by the Outreach Department for any school interested in a tour of the colleges' classrooms or labs.
