Community-Based Transformational Learning Courses
Community-based transformational learning (CBTL) at UNF refers to intentionally designed, coordinated and executed experiences in authentic community-based settings that address real-world needs and problems. CBTL enriches and deepens academic learning while simultaneously benefiting the community(ies) in which activities are embedded.
Students will encounter a variety of CBTL courses across virtually every discipline and major. At UNF, there are 5 major categories or gateways that describe the CBTL activities students may experience through courses:- Outreach and Volunteering
- Community-Based Immersion
- Community-Based Instruction
- Internships and Apprenticeships
- Community-Based Research
