- How to think golf
Tom brings his vast knowledge and passion of golf to the lesson tee to share with all players seeking an upgrade to their own game. He specializes in teaching his students that what you SEE, FEEL and DO are all different and need to be learned and understood. Having instructed beginners, experts and champions, Tom believes EVERYONE has the ability to improve at anything they truly love, desire and are committed to enhancing.
We live in a society seeking instant gratification due to the internet and technology resulting in an information overload. There is way too much inaccurate, misunderstood and misguided information now being shared with golfers anxious to learn or simply improve their game. Because of this, the true fundamentals of the swing and game have become diluted, misconstrued and…in some cases….lost at every level. Golfers, from the beginners to the experts, are searching for new easy fixes and the latest trends.
This is why people cannot learn golf. The answer “IS NOT ON YOUTUBE” or the “INTERNET.”
Tom knows being a “PRO” means, to “PRO”- MOTE and grow golf, to help others learn and understand the complete game and it is not a term to take lightly. A variety of lesson options are available, from a 30 minute evaluation to series of 5 lessons. Tom will also travel to a location you choose.
Spanning a long history of playing golf from the age of 8 through high school and college golf and into the professional tour, Tom has acquired all the necessary tools needed to teach golf from an elevated perspective. Add to that, the experience of retail success in multiple arenas. As a bonus, you can tune into Tom’s radio show “ The Edwin Watts Golf Shop Hour” on 1010 XL AM radio, every Saturday morning from 10-11 am.

John Mousley, PGA, TPI, MPA
John is a PGA Master Professional (456 since 1968) certified in Teaching and Coaching and he approaches player development through a fitness based athletic model. John has completed seven designations with the Titleist Performance Institute including: Body-Swing Connection, Power, Golf Coaching, Medical and Juniors. Over fifteen years of dedicated coaching, John has helped golfers at every skill level from beginners, to juniors, and professionals achieve their goals. A primary focus of John’s coaching is understanding how the body can influence the golf swing. A favorite expression is, “We don’t WANT to swing the way that we do, we HAVE to swing the way that we do”, is a great way to illustrate how potential physical limitations can contribute to swing characteristics. John has completed four designations with the Titleist Performance Institute including; Body-Swing Connection, Power, Golf Coaching, and Juniors. By beginning a series of lessons with a physical screen, we can create a concise understanding of how the body is influencing the golf swing and develop an efficient program for improvement. In addition to John’s teaching experience, he is also a Master Fitter and Staff Professional with Callaway Golf. Custom Fittings and understanding how equipment plays a role in performance has helped John’s students optimize their distance and accuracy ranging from beginners to professionals. John supports his Custom Fittings with launch monitor data generated from Trackman 4 and video feedback V1 sports software.
Throughout John’s career he has also accumulated extensive experience promoting Junior Golf as a PGA Junior League Coach where his teams have won Division Championships and made several trips to the playoffs. Training Juniors as athletes has been the focus of John’s junior programming placing an emphasis on more dynamic movement first, followed by golf specific instruction. While the ultimate goal may be creating a competitive golfer, Juniors want to have fun first and other athletic patterns and sports are more accessible.
John lives in St. Augustine with his wife Morgan and their dogs Lainey Bee and Emmylou. When John is not on the Lesson Tee, he enjoys playing and collecting musical instruments and attending concerts at the St. Augustine Amphitheater. A graduate of Michigan State, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree from West Virginia University.
