Current Students

Current MPA students have specific needs, such as individualized advising and curriculum updates. First, a couple of reminders:

  • The current course rotation will be emailed to all active students at least two weeks before registration begins.
  • Use the MPA Checklist to track your progress and map out needed future courses.
  • Remember to map out the courses needed for your concentration first, then select the general core courses. Concentration courses are mainly offered every other year, while general core courses are offered annually.
  • When you need an override to register for a course, please take a screenshot of the restriction(s) you are facing and email it to the MPA Director so the correct override(s) can be applied.
  • Don't forget to apply for all scholarships that you are eligible for each spring semester.

Graduation requirements

In order to graduate from the program: grades of C or above are required in all MPA courses; grades of B or above are required in at least 6 of the 7 required core courses; and MPA students must meet the minimum graduation requirements (especially an overall 3.0 graduate GPA) for master's degree students at the university. All students must apply for graduation during registration for the last semester of courses in the program. Deadlines are published online.
