The Coggin College of Business at the University of North Florida is one of the nation’s most outstanding business schools, according to The Princeton Review, who chose 252 business schools from across the country for its 2019 business school ranking.

“The Coggin College of Business is pleased to be recognized as a “Best Business School” by Princeton Review for the 12th consecutive year,” said Dr. Mark Dawkins, dean of the Coggin College of Business at UNF. “This honor is a testament to our great students, faculty, staff, parents, donors and corporate partners.”
UNF has recently received several other national designations, including Princeton Review’s 2019 “Best in the Southeast,” U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Regional” University for 2019, The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education 2019 College Rankings, Forbes 2018 Best Value College, U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 “Best Online Programs” and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance’s “Best College Value of 2018,” to name a few.

The Princeton Review’s on-campus MBA survey asked students at the 252 business schools about their school’s academics, student body and campus life as well as about themselves and their career plans. The student surveys that were used for this edition were conducted in the 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years.

The Princeton Review’s business school profiles have sections on academics, student life, admissions information and graduates’ employment data. In the profile on UNF, the Princeton Review describes the University as “the best school in Jacksonville,” and MBA students laud the “small classes” at Coggin College. One student says they “had the best experience with the teachers and students. It was an easy decision to continue my education at UNF.”

“We recommend UNF as one of the best to earn an MBA. We chose the 252 on-campus MBA program schools on this list based on our high regard for their academics and our assessment of institutional data we collect from the schools,” said Princeton Review Editor-in-Chief Robert Franek.

The profiles have five categories of ratings that The Princeton Review tallies based on institutional data it collected during the 2017-18 academic year and/or its on-campus MBA student survey. The ratings are scores on a scale of 60 to 99. Rating categories include academic experience, admissions selectivity, career, interesting professors and accessible professors. The Princeton Review explains the basis for each rating score at

The Princeton Review doesn’t rank the on-campus MBA programs from 1 to 252 or name one business school best overall. The 2019 rankings can be found at

In May 2006, Coggin College had two of its programs—Transportation and Logistics and International Business—selected as UNF flagship programs. This recognition of excellence allows these business programs to grow and expand.

With more than 3,800 students, the Coggin College’s mission is to educate and develop business professionals through rigorous, relevant accredited degree programs offered by faculty devoted to student learning and engaged in scholarly activities.
