UNF Leadership Speakers Bureau Series Features Local Attorney John Phillips

The University of North Florida’s Taylor Leadership Institute will launch its
Leadership Speakers Bureau series, “Leadership Presence: It’s Not What You
Think It Is…and YET – You Know It When You See It,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8
in the Student Union, Building 58W, Auditorium, Room 2704, featuring attorney
John Phillips. The dynamic series honors the UNF Reads! book selection, “Outliers:
The Story of Success.”
Jacksonville attorney, was recently named the “Face of Justice” by 904
Magazine. Since opening his private practice in 2012, he has developed a strong
local and national presence through his legal work, community involvement and
television and radio appearances, offering legal advice to viewers and
listeners. Additionally, Phillips regularly hosts “Courts and Sports” on Sports
Radio 930 AM, educating listeners about sports law.
“John Phillips speaks
from his heart about the subtle and powerful nuances that make leaders lead and
how we each owe it to ourselves and the world to cultivate leadership
capacity,” said Dr. Annabel Brooks, director of the Taylor Leadership
Institute. “John walks the walk and inspires us to do similarly.”
In his presentation,
Phillips will speak about how he has developed a strong presence as a leader by
aligning his inner passion for helping and serving others
in the Jacksonville community. He will also discuss examples of how different
and individual leadership can look.
