Sophomore golfer Sean Dale was named to the Division I PING All-Region team for the southeast region as announced on Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America. He joins 152 other golfers across six regions in receiving recognition for the 2010 season.

This season Dale helped the Ospreys to their first NCAA Championships berth since 2000. He is currently ranked 13th in the Golfstat Index and 21st in the Golfweek/Sagarin standings.

He placed 10th at NCAA South Central Regionals, scoring a 3-under 213 (71-73-71). He has tallied 14 sub-par rounds this season with a season low 66 coming at the Wolf Run Invitational where he claimed the top individual finish at the tournament. Dale has finished in the top-10 six times this season and claimed Atlantic Sun Golfer of the Mont in September. He ranked as high as first in the country during the fall.

Dale and the Ospreys are tied for 12th after the first round of action at the 2010 NCAA Men’s Golf Championships with a 4-over, 292. He shot even par and ended the first round tied for 36th.
