UNF Hosts Administrative Professionals Conference and Expo

The University of North Florida’s Division of Continuing Education is hosting the 22nd Annual Administrative Professionals Conference & Expo from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at the Prime F. Osborn Convention Center in downtown Jacksonville.

This one-day intensive conference is the No. 1 conference in the region for administrative professionals. It’s where you can get the strategies, tools, techniques and ideas to meet your toughest on-the-job challenges.

The conference features 12 educational break-out sessions, ranging from effective business writing to personal motivation to dealing with different personalities in the workplace. Also back by popular demand is the project management track, featuring topics like “Charting a Course,” “Putting out Fires” and “Taking Control of Your Projects.”

New highlight’s for this year’s conference includes a networking lounge, which will be available throughout the conference for participants to network and meet new friends. Networking expert Marilyn Feldstein will be available all day as a personal resource. Another new element is the Boss of the Year and Assistant of the Year awards, sponsored by UNF’s Division of Continuing Education and the International Association of Administrative Professionals First Coast Chapter. Two keynote speakers are also featured this year. Sheila Green, founder and president of GreenBean Corporate Organizing Solutions, will be the opening keynote speaker. She will discuss “Overcoming Information Overload.” Green has earned recognition as a leading consultant in organizing strategies and implementation. Lunch keynote speaker Almon Gunter, CEO and president of Gunter-Gunter, Inc., will speak about “The Essentials of Team Building.” He’s an acclaimed motivational public speaker and consultant as well as a two-time US Olympic trial qualifier in track and field.

The fee for the conference is $199 and includes all educational sessions and materials, a continental breakfast, lunch with two keynote speakers, expo, afternoon refreshments, gifts and door prizes.
