Code@Nest Team Programming Challenge 2026

April 3, 2026

Special Events

The Code@Nest Team Programming Challenge 2026 is an in‑person coding contest hosted by the School of Computing and the O(CP) Club. Modeled after well‑known competitions such as the ICPC, this event gives students the chance to demonstrate their problem‑solving and programming skills in a fast‑paced environment. FIS sponsors award prizes.

This contest is open to current UNF students who have not yet completed COP 3530: Data Structures. All participants will use lab computers to solve the problems.

Teams will tackle 8 programming problems of varying difficulty within a 3‑hour window. Teams must consist of two or three members; one‑member teams are not permitted, as this is a team‑based programming contest. Each team will be assigned exactly one computer for the duration of the contest.

Internet use, including AI chatbots and search engines, is not allowed. Teams may bring books, notes, and scratch paper. A browser may be used only to access the DOMJudge system.

Mesa de Cultura “Día Internacional del Libro”

April 22, 2026

Workshop/Seminars

Celebrate World Book Day (Día Internacional del Libro) with Cervantes himself! Meet Magic Mike, the avatar of Don Miguel de Cervantes; ready for whatever you dare to ask. From LinkedIn tips and personal branding to AI, writing advice, book recommendations, and his favorite moments in Don Quixote, nothing is off-limits. Beach bum or mountain goat? Secret Swiftie or undercover Beyoncé fan? Favourite meme of all time? Just ask! He’ll spill it all with classic elegance and 2025-level sass. To top it all off, we’ll celebrate Día del Libro the proper way—with a book giveaway and paper roses, honoring the tradition of Día de Sant Jordi.
