Through the course of a year the Student Union has undergone many changes. I have had the awesome privilege of seeing the union from its groundbreaking as a Student Government Senator to a wonderful completion as the Vice President. The union has been no easy milestone and I will never forget the many “inspections” with my hardhat. My goal was never to put my mark on the building but, to ensure that each student felt that it was worthy to be called the Student Union. Every decision that I had to make was influenced by what my fellow students would appreciate. Trust me when I say that I sat in every chair, touched every wall and stepped on every stair, it is nothing short of the truth! My prayer from the heart is that each student feels at home and remembers that the doors of the Student Union are always open.
