Freshmen Ospreys

We are so excited you have made UNF your choice for college! The next step is to sign up for Orientation. Orientation Registration will be open mid-January. You will log in to your myWings account to sign up.

We hope the Orientation program helps you become familiar with UNF’s expectations, traditions and history. We want you to have a strong start as you begin your college life at UNF. We anticipate that you will greet the upcoming years with enthusiasm and confidence and that you will always be proud to be an Osprey! #SWOOP

About New Student Orientation

UNF’s Freshmen Orientation is designed to provide you with key tools and resources necessary to have a successful academic career at UNF.  Filled with informational sessions, academic advising, course registration, student life opportunities and meeting and interacting with other incoming Ospreys, this mandatory program is our perfect orientation.

The New Student Orientation program consists of two days of activities. The first day consists of meeting with your Orientation Team Leader (OTLs - The Swoop Squad), meeting fellow incoming Osprey students, learning about UNF's traditions and history, athletics and recreation, and housing. You will have an opportunity to tour the residential properties at the conclusion of the first day. The second day is filled with exciting activities such as academic advising, course registration, participating in workshop sessions and the student affairs showcase.

Many of the programs are for students and parents to attend together. However, there will be some activities that are just for students (academic advising is a student-only activity). During the time of the student-only programs there will be a separate Parents' Session. See the Parents Orientation Website for further details.

Since attending orientation is a factor in your academic success it is MANDATORY that UNF freshmen students attend all functions of the Orientation program. It is not mandatory that parents attend.
