About Swoopapalooza
UNF’s Orientation Program: Swoopapalooza, is a mandatory program filled with informational sessions, academic advising, course registration, and meeting and interacting with other incoming Ospreys.
The Swoopapalooza program consists of two days of activities. The first day consists of meeting with your Orientation Team Leader (OTLs - The Swoop Squad), meeting fellow incoming Osprey students, learning about UNF's traditions and history, athletics and recreation, and housing. You will have an opportunity to tour the residential properties at the conclusion of the first day. The second day is filled with exciting activities such as, academic advising, course registration, participating in workshop sessions and the student affairs showcase. For complete details regarding the Swoopapalooza program visit the Student Schedule.
Many of the programs are for students and parents to attend together. However, there will be some activities that are just for students (academic advising and course registration is a student-only activity). During the time of the student-only programs there will be a separate Parents Session. See the Parents Orientation Website.
It is MANDATORY that students attend all of the functions of the orientation program however, it is not mandatory that the parents attend.
