Online Learning Laboratory (OLL)
The purpose of the Online Learning Lab (OLL) is to provide a state-of-the-art online content creation and professional development facility for University of North Florida faculty. The OLL serves as a space for faculty to create online instructional materials and experiment with the latest tools and technologies. Some of the technologies incorporated into the room include
- Interactive Short Throw Projector
- Lecture Capture
- Touchscreen Displays
Interactive and Collaborative Technologies
The OLL boasts several interactive and collaborative technologies that can enhance classroom teaching. Faculty can explore these technologies by signing up for a 10-minute Technology Exploration session. Click the green 'Book Now' button below to signup.
The room’s capture system can record presenter audio, video, content, and annotations. The recorded presentations are saved to a personal thumb drive and are ready to be posted to a Canvas course(s) or other online publishing platforms. Presenters can use the room’s PC or bring their own laptop. If you are recording instructional materials, we recommend keeping each piece at 20 minutes or less. You can record multiple pieces in a single appointment. A 20-minute hands-on training session is required prior to first use of the room for content creation.
* Plan to bring a USB thumb drive with at least 2GB of free space for each hour of lecture you plan to record.
